Overview:

As we expand our business globally, we are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager in Chile to lead our talented development and quality assurance teams. This role involves overseeing the development and maintenance of our Salesforce-based SaaS solution, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. In this role you will be collaborating closely with other departments to ensure our product stays competitive and innovative, encompassing technical leadership and people management. Reporting directly to the CTO and taking ownership of software delivery speed, quality, and operational reliability within the areas of responsibility.

Main responsibilities include:
-Team Leadership: Efficiently manage, mentor, and develop our Development and Quality Assurance teams, fostering a collaborative, motivating, and productive environment.
-Process Improvement: Streamline, optimize and refine our engineering processes, workflows, and resource utilization to enhance team productivity and software quality.
-Collaboration: Work closely with our product managers and other stakeholders to plan and execute our roadmap and ensure alignment with company goals.
-Delivery Management: Oversee the delivery of our roadmap and milestones, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
-Innovation: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, driving the adoption of best practices and innovative solutions to elevate our product to new heights and keeping us at the forefront of innovation in the SaaS industry.
-Quality Assurance: Ensure the implementation of robust testing and QA practices to maintain high standards of software quality.
-Performance Management: Set team objectives in accordance with the broader company vision and leverage appropriate key performance indicators. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
-Technical Guidance: Provide technical leadership and direction to the Development team, guiding architecture decisions and code reviews.

Required qualifications:
-Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
-5 years of proven experience in a technology role in the SaaS or Tech industry sector, ideally in companies in a growth stage, in software development and architecture.
-2 years of experience in leading and managing teams.
-Advanced level of English.
-Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Apex, SQL, or similar and in-depth knowledge of SaaS architecture and cloud services, software architecture and design, DevOps/continuous integration and deployment, and automation.
-Proven track record of leading technical teams and achieving ambitious business objectives in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
-Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines consistently.
-Successful history of driving innovation and enhancing efficiency within teams.
-Capable of strategic thinking with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
-Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of developers, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work efficiently with cross-functional teams in a diverse, multicultural environment.
-Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).

Desired qualifications:
-Previous experience with Salesforce- and AWS-based solutions and Artificial Intelligence.
-Knowledge of cybersecurity and data protection regulations.
-Master’s degree in a related field.
-Certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or Six Sigma are a plus.
-Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, Docker, Jenkins).
