Remote part-time position

About Propel:
Propel is a California-based organization that bridges tech and LatAm's impact needs, building nonprofits’ digital capabilities and connecting them with tech and talent to grow. Founded at Stanford University in 2021, Propel has supported 300+ organizations across 19 Latin American countries, reaching over 100 million people.

The Role:
As a Data Intern, you will support Propel’s data operations with a strong focus on programming, APIs, and visualization. You will be responsible for integrating data sources, automating processes, developing interactive dashboards, and transforming data into actionable insights to guide strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain interactive dashboards (Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar).
Generate insights and key analyses from internal and external datasets.
Contribute to Salesforce and other system integrations.
Develop Python and/or Java scripts for automation, data cleaning, and transformation.
Document technical processes and best practices for the team.

Qualifications & Skills:
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.
Backend development experience (Python, Java, or Node.js).
Hands-on experience in data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio, Metabase, etc.).
Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Some experience with Frontend development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
Nice to have: familiarity with Salesforce or other CRMs.

Stipends: $350 USD monthly
Time commitment: 25 - 30 hours per week
